ANNOUNCING

Mind's Eye Publications will accept submissions and proposals for CHAPBOOKS and FULL-LENGTH BOOKS. Upon acceptance of the submission or proposal meeting the standards of Mind's Eye, we will work through the design, formatting, and publication details of the Chapbook or Full-Length Book.

    DEFINITIONS:
  • A Chapbook will be defined as a publication that would require 40 to 50 pages of substance text, excluding front and back matter. Another caveat is that the CHAPBOOK must be low enough in total page count that it can be saddle-stapled. Chapbooks cannot be lengthy enough to demand perfect binding.
  • A Full-Length Book will be defined as a publication that would require 60 or more pages of substance text, excluding front and back matter. FULL-LENGTH BOOKS will be perfect bound in either slick or matte cover finish.

    PRICING AND
    AUTHOR/POET COMPENSATION:
  • PDF-ready CHAPBOOKS or FULL-LENGTH BOOKS with already formatted text and pagination and a minimum of 300 dpi/ppi cover art and interior illustrations (if any) will be published with a royalty split as follows. Proceeds after publication will be divided 25%:75% Mind's Eye Publications:Author/Poet, respectively.
  • CHAPBOOKS or FULL-LENGTH BOOKS with content that requires design and formatting will pay royalties according the the following: Any and all cover art and/or interior illustrations must be paid for by the Author/Poet. Proceeds after publication will be divided 30%:70% Mind's Eye Publications:Author/Poet, respectively.

    NOTES:
  • IF publication in other-than-print formats is also desired, specifics regarding costing, royalty splits, etc. will be negotiated.
  • These arrangements include an owned ISBN number, Print-on-Demand publishing through lulu dot com or some other POD entity, and distribution through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other online booksellers.
  • Mind's Eye Publications will have first right of refusal in the case of revised or expanded editions.
  • Full publishing rights to ALL individual prose or poetic or artistic/illustration contents immediately revert to the Author/Poet upon publication.
